A situation ship can be defined as a romantic relationship that is undefined and uncommitted. It is rarely different from friends with benefits that don’t get personal or emotional but a little more of relationships without commitment It can also be a situation ship. It’s not a relationship but you people do everything that entails a relationship it’s just you’re not tagging it, OR situation ship when you are bonded to a person which is essentially a relationship, but the relationship lacks commitment is a situation ship.

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN SITUATION SHIP AND A RELATIONSHIP
Undefined relationship: when two people are in a situational relationship. It’s common for discussion over the nature of the connection “such are we exactly?” or are we dating “ it would seem premature to start such a dialogue.
Consistent:; you will spend time with them touch them for a while and you don’t hear from them again
Confused: you feel confused because some time their open up to you about something and do does couples things and than other times their completely avoided ,shutdown and you are not hearing from them and you feel like getting close to them but than them poll back and confuse you all over again, you can open up go on dating you can talk about serious things but than when it come to’ “what are we” what is happening .
No specific follow-up: in a situation ship her is no follow up between the two regarding conversation or even for spending time together .your relationship is easily affected by distances in person you are in a relationship mode
Superficial connection: the connection in the situation ship is very superficial .only spending time together and maybe being intimate does not ensure to have a deep emotional connection. even the conversations may be very superficial . for instance, you or your partners do not ask any personal questions I.e. not being interested in knowing more about you . or talking about planning future, or he or she only does thing that will favors him it will turn to benefit
No futuristic approach towards the relationship:
A situation ship does not have a long –term plan with each other, there is a lack of conversation on the topic of the future of the relationship. So it is way hard for you to understand it.
Entanglement; When you’re seeing someone but you’re not exclusively their boyfriend or girlfriend it’s not formal but your people there with emotions it must be that you’re giving me something or sharing spatial proximity because it is a relationship with one person to the other person .
